Ready...Set...Inspect!

You've selected the home, you have the financing secured, and your realtor has scheduled the closing date for next week! To close the deal with confidence you need to ensure that you have a home inspection performed....and FAST! The inspection will go smoother, with fewer concerns to delay closing by doing the following:

1. Confirm that the utilities are functioning. The water, electric, and gas services must be  operating to complete a thorough inspection.

2. Remove any pets from the premises. Ensure that pets do not hinder the inspection.

3. Unlock areas the inspector must access: Electric service panels, fence gates, and attic doors.

4. Remove item blocking access to HVAC equipment, water heaters, and crawlspaces.

5. Ensure combo codes, supra key entry, or someone is available to help with ingress to the home.

Checking these items before your home inspection will ensure a speedy completion and get you to the closing table!
